Motivated by institutional error and inefficiencies involving family members’ medical diagnoses, Cindy Vogel has since worked for more than 15 years in the healthcare software industry to improve patient outcomes.
As Director of Healthcare Analytics and Integration at Right Triangle Consulting, Cindy combines a passion for analytics, finance, and strategy to help clients secure systems and understand their data. She also helps insurance and healthcare clients improve operational efficiency by optimizing data and workflows.
Cindy holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Public Affairs along with a minor in Business Management from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.
After college, Cindy obtained American Red Cross Instructor Trainer qualification for lifeguarding and swimming. She also helped the Columbia community by training First Aid and CPR classes, thus beginning her healthcare industry involvement. Later working domestically and abroad, she collaborated with large client organizations based in the United Kingdom, Australia, South America, and Germany. While working with the UK’s United Healthcare System, process improvements were implemented to reduce the 18-week wait time to see a specialist by nearly 10%; a “next-available” system for booking appointments online was introduced; and coding and billing issuers that earlier delayed payments to providers were resolved
Later in strategic roles, Cindy observed systemic inequalities in need of overhaul and oversaw all aspects of the patient/provider revenue cycle, from inquiry and intake through examination and financial evaluation. At Right Triangle, she partners with client Vantage Health Technologies, using her product and project management skills to manage workflows and data sets.
Always hands-on, Cindy applies her analytical skills to card games like Pitch, drawing from the more than 400 card decks she has collected. Besides her husband and son, Cindy enjoys spending valued time with her twin sister and Right Triangle associate Mindy Becker, whose health challenges years ago helped inspire Cindy’s choice of a career in healthcare.
